It’s that time of year again! With the beginning of summer comes the latest edition of the Summer Reading Program, hosted by the Youth Services Department. The Summer Reading Program is an opportunity to help our younger patrons to keep up their reading during the long summer vacation from school.
We invite Cicero kids of all ages, from babies to expert readers, to participate in our summer fun. All they have to do is read books during the summer and they can win prizes. If they read a lot of books they can also earn an invitation to our super secret finale party! To join the Summer Reading Program, each child must have a Cicero Public Library card. If you need to know how to get a library card for your child, click here. Registration is going on now and will continue until Saturday, July 2, 2016.
But that’s not all! During the summer we’ll have drawing classes, computer classes, a cooking class, and so much more. Not only that but we’re also continuing to offer the same arts and crafts, movie showings, storytimes, and gamedays that the children can enjoy throughout the year. Come by the Youth Services Department or give us a call at (708) 652-8084 Ext: 7, for more information.
We look forward to seeing you this summer!
